Afghanistan vs Pakistan ODIs 2023: Schedule, squads, live streaming details: Afghanistan versus Pakistan One Day International (ODI) matches for 2023 will begin on August 22nd and finish on August 26th in Sri Lanka.
Just before the Asia Cup 2023, Afghanistan will host Pakistan for a three-match ODI series that will take place over five days in Sri Lanka.
Currently, Pakistan is ranked second in the ICC ODI rankings, while Afghanistan holds the eighth position.
The first two games will happen in Hambantota on August 22nd and 24th, and the final match will be in Colombo on August 26th.
In the past, Afghanistan and Pakistan have only played against each other four times in ODIs, and Pakistan has won all those matches. After this series, both teams will head to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, which begins on August 30th with a match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan.
Afghanistan’s cricket board has selected 18 players for this series. They’ve included Noor Ahmad, who performed really well in the Indian T20 League of 2023. Fast bowlers Mohammad Saleem Safi and Wafadar Momand are also part of the team.
Meanwhile, Inzamam-ul-Haq, who leads Pakistan’s selection committee, has announced the squad for Pakistan. Some new faces in the team include Tayyab Tahir, Faheem Ashraf, and Saud Shakeel.
