Asia Cup 2023 points table: Pakistan and India share points in rain-marred Asia Cup clash. The much-anticipated clash between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2023 was called off due to rain at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on Saturday.

The match was reduced to 40 overs per side after persistent rain delayed the start of play. India batted first and scored 266-8, with Ishan Kishan (82 off 81) and Hardik Pandya (87 off 90) scoring fifties.

Pakistan were unable to bat as the rain returned, and the match was eventually abandoned with both teams sharing the points.

The result means that Pakistan have secured their place in the Super Four stage of the tournament, while India will need to win their final group game against Nepal on September 4 to progress.

The two teams will meet again in the Super Four stage on September 10.
