The ICC Men’s Cricket ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule and Venue details are out! The tournament will begin on October 5 with the first match between New Zealand and England at Narendra Modi Stadium. The final match will be held on November 19 at the Grand Narendra Modi Stadium.
India and Pakistan will play against each other on October 15, 2023 (Sunday) in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium.
A total of 48 matches will be played in 10 different venues all across India. It’s exciting to know that this will be the first time the entire World Cup is hosted in India. In the past, only parts of the tournament were held there in 1987, 1996, and 2011.
Originally, the World Cup was planned for February to March 2023, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moved to the October-November window.
The 13th edition of the Men’s ODI World Cup will have ten participating teams. They qualify for the main tournament phase through a qualification phase that happens over three years before the event.
