NZ vs ENG 2023: New Zealand announced a Squad for ODI series against England: New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has just announced a strong group of 15 players who will be competing in the upcoming ODI series against England. This series is scheduled to take place in England from September 8 to 15, 2023.
Two well-known players, Trent Boult and Kyle Jamieson, are making a return to the team for this white-ball series against England. They’re joining in preparation for the big World Cup happening later this year in India.
Unfortunately, a few players – Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, and Jimmy Neesham – won’t be able to play in this series due to personal reasons. So, Tom Latham will continue leading the team since Kane Williamson is still recovering from a knee injury.
This ODI series in England is one of the last matches New Zealand will play before the World Cup. The team’s coach, Gary Stead, sees this as a tough challenge because they’ll be facing the current World Cup champions, England. He believes it will be a great test for his players and a chance for them to get even stronger before the big tournament.
