KARACHI: A day before the start of the 2022 Pakistan Super League (PSL), a fire broke out during welding operations at iconic National Stadium, Karachi’s Local Media reported on Wednesday.
According to the sources, a fire brigade was called to the scene to put out the fire.
The fire damaged a commentator’s booth in the specially built stadium for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches which will start on January 27 (tomorrow).
The fire has also partially damaged the SMD boundary wire. However, no injuries were reported, the sources said.
PSL 2022 will kick off with 15 matches over 12 days in Karachi starting on Thursday.
The first PSL match will be held in Karachi on January 27 between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.
