India Team, led by Mithali Raj, will take part in the Women’s World Cup 2022 in New Zealand: here is the full squad and India squad list for the ICC 50+ competition, along with reserve players and replacement news.

The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in 2020 but was postponed to 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will take place in six venues. England is the defending champion of the tournament.

India’s campaign kicks off with the blockbuster clash against Pakistan at the Bay Oval in Tauranga, with a total of 31 matches scheduled between the eight teams from March to April 2022. The final will be played on 3 April 2022.

According to the ICC rules for the tournament, a team can participate even if the side is reduced to nine players if a team is affected by Covid-19.

India were runners-up in the last edition in 2017 and also reached the final in the 2005 edition. The tournament is likely to act as a swan song for India veterans Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. Ahead of the tournament, India have lost their last four bilateral series, suffering defeats against South Africa, England, Australia and New Zealand.
